The first gallery Liu Dao displayed in during this event was Tally Beck Contemporary at booth b6. Tally Beck Contemporary is an art consultancy group and gallery based in New York, focusing on contemporary Asian art. Founded in 2010, Tally Beck has had regular exhibitions featuring artwork from East and South East Asia. Over the years, they have had a strong presence at international art fairs, such as Art Market San Francisco, LA Art Show, SCOPE Basel, and Art on Paper. As an innovative Asian art collective, Liu Dao has had an exception ongoing partnership with Tally, one that is furthered through a solo exhibition of Liu Dao’s work at Market Art + Design 2016.
The second exhibiting gallery to display Liu Dao artwork was Jennifer Ford gallery in booth a11. This Fort Wayne-based art gallery seeks to enrich and educate the public through its diverse art collection offerings and showcases. The gallery was founded in 2015 by Jennifer Ford and has already had a number of thought-provoking and notable exhibitions. The gallery also hosts a remarkable artist work-in-residence program, which makes available to visiting artists their gallery space, warehouse, and adjoining interior design firm. Market Art + Design is Liu Dao’s first event with Jennifer Ford, displayed as part of the booth’s group exhibition.
