Asia+/First Open at Christie's Hong Kong
Liu Dao’s work has caught the eye of art lovers and collectors around the globe, and their latest fan is none other than the prestigious Christie’s. Based in London and New York, the world’s largest fine arts auction house maintains a Hong Kong office in The James Christie Room at Alexandra House. There, two Liu Dao artworks will be auctioned in the second installment of Asia+/First Open, an exclusive selection of over 130 artworks representing a comprehensive survey of contemporary Eastern and Western art.
Liu Dao’s “Chinese Laundry” and “Blurry Blue with You” will be showcased alongside a carefully curated grouping of works by artists like Andy Warhol, Anish Kapoor, Yoshitomo Nara, Damien Hirst, Yayoi Kusama, KAWS, and Roy Lichtenstein, among other renowned artists. The highly anticipated event will be previewed throughout Hong Kong Art Week from March 12th to the 14th, culminating with the auction on March 15th. Christie’s has produced a handsome catalogue to commemorate the sale.
