I started out as little white bricks 白墩子 and as time went on I took shape and color. Things got hot for a bit but when they cooled off I found myself brand spankin' new and shiny to boot. Damn I look good. Unfortunately I lack any kind of sexuality to exert my prowess upon so I'm stuck hanging out with quieter company. At least I've got time to think. I start reflecting on that old Daoist classic, The Secret of the Golden Flower 太乙金华宗旨 and the steps to inner alchemy 内丹术. It gives us only three steps for meditation. Sit. Breathe. Contemplate. We must do this for one hundred days− the gathering of the light−before we can move on to higher awareness. Sit. Breathe. Contemplate. Only then can we see our little white bricks turn into golden flowers. [Jackson McHugh]
