| In November, island6 was approached by an events organizer called City Moments, who wanted to display a few of our artworks for their Future Fashion event at one of Shanghai's hottest clubs, The Geisha. The cross-disciplinary event brought together 3 creative partners: 1 fashion designer, 1 hairdresser and 1 art organization, the latter of which was to be us. It was a night that oozed creativity and alcohol, under a futuristic theme. As midnight approached, the multi-storied club started to fill up with merry-making crowds and sexy cyborg ladies in luminous, barely-there outfits and metallic make up. Much attention was given to our pieces -"Dopkalfar" beckoned to the guests at the party's reception area, "Undines" and "Chloris" presided over the throbbing dancefloor, and "Edison's Canary" gleamed in the lounge upstairs, literally shocking the party-goers who called the number on its screen. island6 gives thanks to City Moments for hosting us at this extraordinary event, where Jean Le Guyader got drunk and had to be "invited" out of the club by two fat bouncers without his expensive hat..
