| ABOUT |
In many cultures people have long believed that butterflies were the embodiment of the souls of those who've passed. It isn't difficult to see the connection between human souls and butterflies. These delicate creatures float aimlessly through the air; their translucent wings seem to exist in the boundary between our world and the next. They begin life as we do - fat little creatures helplessly earthbound. And then, for both us and the butterflies, comes a darkness that transforms us from our physical selves into something more beautiful, more ethereal – something heavenly. Life, death and rebirth - so goes the cycle of the butterfly. And, to some, so goes the cycle of our souls. [Analynn Bustamente] |
