SWAB BARCELONA 2013
with Pantocrátor Gallery
It seems the Liu Dao Art Collective is once again picking up their passports and setting sail to beautiful Barcelona for the SWAB Art Fair 2013. Having participated in the 2011 installment of the fair with Pantocrator Gallery, we're no stranger to the sub-tropical Mediterranean climate and the intoxicating creative atmosphere of a city steeped in a rich history.
Over the centuries, Barcelona has maintained its early lead as one of the most important Mediterranean ports. Today, as the second largest city in Spain, Barcelona has transformed into a modern global city with astounding cultural, financial and commercial importance. A charming and eclectic mix of old and new, avant-garde and antique, the city speaks to the creative concepts that Liu Dao no doubt holds close to our warm LED hearts.
SWAB Barcelona 2013 is the sixth installment of the international contemporary art fair held from the 3rd to the 6th of October to honor the start of the Catalan art season. Focusing on emerging art and building new audiences and collectors in far more than just Barcelona, over 60 galleries will participate in the event that self proclaims to "break down the barriers of the elitist art world" and "initiate new collectors". Sounds exciting to us! island6 will be joining over 60 international galleries, only 6 being from Asia, and looks forward to bringing our techno-dream LED visions and Jian Zhi (剪纸) cuts to mingle with other young galleries and artists.
