SWAB BARCELONA 2015
with Pantocrátor Gallery
Through representation by our friends at Pantocrator gallery, the Liu Dao collective displayed work in the 2015 Swab Barcelona International Contemporary Art Fair. On display were such works as “Weapon of Choice,” “Then we Went Backwards,” and “Man Eater” (along with many others). This year’s event was held from October 1st to the 4th at the scenic Italian Pavillion. This classically structured venue was originally designed for the Universal Exposition of 1929, a 2,400 square meter space perched right in front of Barcelona’s iconic Font Màgica de Montjuïc (Magic fountain of Montjuïc).
Swab’s mission is to create opportunities for emerging galleries, artists and commissaries, offering them all seamless exposure to new avenues within the art market and helping them promote their work internationally. This year Liu Dao exhibited their work alongside artists and galleries from Paris, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Medellin, Hong Kong, Athens, Berlin, Tokyo, St. Petersburg, and Buenos Aires (just to name a few). The diversity and depth of talent on display each year here makes this event an incredible melting pot of the current Global art scene.
