ABOUT

Sinew, spit, sensations, and slips - just how do we keep our bodies together with everything we put them through? Liu Dao has explored the mind, and it's high time they turned their LED eyes to the bodies that execute all the lewd, lustful, and lovely things our brains persuade us to do. (read more >>>)

ABOUT

It’s out with the old and in with the new as island6 heralds the transition to the Year of the Goat! The celebration of Chinese New Year is an eruption of dazzling colors, scents, and tastes as fireworks crackle amongst the stars and softly glowing lanterns line the streets. We’re honoring this remarkably exquisite, once-a-year event in true island6 form – with an exhibition that draws on the myriad cultural influences and global reach of the Lunar New Year. From lucky red underwear to appeasing ancestors (living and decidedly not living), Liu Dao celebrates the rich heritage of Chinese New Year. (read more >>>)

ABOUT

The mind is a fickle thing. We’re all lolling about just steps away from complete and utterly bottomless lunacy. Let go and let the crazy wash over you as Liu Dao dives into the minds of the most imaginative madmen. Explore the LED synapses of insanity and the flicking LCD moods of maniac hysteria with this deranged exhibition. Observers beware: interacting with these artworks may provoke underlying currents of delirious behavior and seriously demented ravings. (read more >>>)

ABOUT

Are you generally tired of airing out your dirty laundry and coming clean for things you’ve done wrong? Do you sometimes contemplate committing awful acts but are held at bay by some deep-seeded pang of discomfort. If so, Liu Dao invites you to explore the possibility of remaining dirty in On Doing Laundry: The Idiot’s Guide to Undertaking Naughty Deeds and Getting Away With It; a written and visual how-to guide for the common person seeking to cause any amount of trouble, large or small, in the lives of others. Come learn why heartbreak and genocide have a lot in common, and, more importantly, why you shouldn’t care about either. (read more >>>)
