| ABOUT |
| |
| Since the dawn of man, there has been a Number One. We’re talking about the guy on top. We’re talking about the oldest managerial position in the book. The letters in the sculpture of ‘Pimp’ take on the aura of the crudely carved and clumsily aligned rocks of Stonehenge, but what they lack in sophistication they make up for in their immovable self-confidence that comes with the knowledge of their own necessity, and the guarantee of the market. The way the letters stand dumbly might let others find their sole purpose in life somewhat amusing, but their expressionless faces–the ‘P’s with no holes, the ‘i’ with no tittle and the ‘M’ with only three tiny triangles to keep it from being a blank square–show they look above you and beyond you with their subaltern realism, their sexuality, and their primality.
