"The Stop I've Never Seen" (我从未见过的车站)
"The Stop I've Never Seen" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
I thought I knew the city like the back of my hand, but she took me to places that were more exotic than anything I could have ever imagined. We all know the feeling. One hour to work, work, one hour back from work. Every day. For us, the inhabitant population that is said to be the nation, the city that our forefathers built is nothing but the awakening faces of the morning and the dark shapes of the night, and these frame… our life. Can I write that? No, they frame… something we know the least, yet we say we belong to it. She took me to places, restaurants from all over the world, streets hidden from the everydays. I was jealous of the tourists, the outsiders, the intruders that they knew all this all along. This was the moment I decided I wanted to be one of them. I dragged her off at metro stops I’d never even noticed before. We searched for streets long forgotten. We climbed up the buildings that we thought were only open for the ones living inside. And there we found this little window.
