"Infinite Jelly" (果冻无限)
"Infinite Jelly" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
Sometimes we yearn for so much more than our lot in this expanse of imperial blue ocean, however deep that lot might reach down to. The ultimate and inescapable hilarity lie in our solipsistic yearnings to swim in any direction, as long as it is away from that wretched spot which we occupy now. The unending dilemma is that we are always, forever, in that spot. Swim away as we might, we can never swim fast enough to leave behind ourselves. Our pulsating tentacles remind us that, despite ourselves, we swim on. I say only simply facts, not more and certainly never intentionally less: we are swimming alone, moving about of our own volition for as long as we might. I know this to be true as well though, that however alone we may feel, our thoughts, no matter how odd, off-putting or contranormative have likely been thought before, will be thought again and are perhaps even being thought as you read this. Those things we don’t mention to each other at jellyfish dinner parties though, that is the sweet molten core of living, too hot to touch, too important and heavy to escape or avoid. We need this, as we need many things, real or imagined.
