"I am life that wills to live in the midst of life that wills to live" - Albert Schweitzer
I remember it as a surreptitious affair. She was always stealthy, cautious, sharp-eyed...a very observant creature. Her beauty captivated many. I too was under a spell of sorts. Under the moonlight, her eyes glistened like a pair of Michael Godard’s dancing green olives. It was quite the spectacle! When the music hit, her body would contort, twisting and twirling, jumping, shaking! The cat was out of the bag and there was nothing you or I or anyone could do to contain it! And why would one even attempt to tame such a wild being? To even think so would be unfair. The caged bird sings for freedom, just as our dear lady longs for moonlit nights and ravenous music. Philosopher Albert Schweitzer said it best, the only thing we are really sure of is that we live and want to go on living. So let her live. Let the cat dance at all hours of the night. Let her sing and cry! Hopefully she’ll find the will to love me back.
