"Mehari Plage"
// BLURB //
I thought I saw Brigitte Bardot once lying naked on the beach. I mean I was the one lying naked. I was there and she was there. But we weren’t really there. It was the reflection on the water that made us blind for a moment. She was so young. Jacques Brel was on the radio. The Côte d'Azur was so calming. The Mediterranean seemed so infinite. It was hard to distinguish reality from the feeling of getting lost in the world mirrored in a pair of blue shades. The second color I remember is the kind of yellow that makes nature complete. I wasn’t exactly sure if the blond hair or the golden sunrays reminded me of my brand new Mehari. Glistening plastic, sweet roars on the Baie de Pampelonne, nothing from the outside world could disturb this harmony. After I opened my eyes, the black and white coast turned Technicolor to adjust to my expectations. And I think this was the first time it started all over again.
