The sun sets and night falls upon the city enveloping each and every corner in darkness. Only lit by faint moonlight, the streets become empty as everyone makes their way home. I on the other hand am a lone werewolf, a voyeur of sorts. Come dusk and it’s my time to play! Sure, I may not behave with the utmost propriety but that is beside the point. Peeking through my scarlet red blinds, I squint and sneak trying to catch a glimpse of those directly across my building. Each night a different show, I’ve never been a fan of the arts, but this spectacle has truly captivated me. A maid meticulously cleaning, dusting, and sweeping. A man searching for something, or someone, in the dark night. Completely unaware, clueless, oblivious of my presence. Oh, you think it’s unfair for me to peep without them knowing? Well, there’s not much fun in justice now is there. And if I’m being quite honest, which I rarely am, I don’t see the harm. I act with the care and stealth of a cat on the hunt. I’m just a voyeur feasting on the secret private lives of others, where’s the shame in that?
