"That Girl Helen" (那个女孩叫海伦)
"That Girl Helen" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
Not a unique movement in her. Short hair and shorter skirt. Thin body and thin morals. She was a thief. Just like me. Just like the men. I had watched her rise and fall, and I had thought to myself, that’s what I want to do. But I’m not going to fall. I saw her embody what she’d seen in the past and use it to leave the crowds hungry for more. She became popular in the 1920’s and died out in the 30's, but I’ll last forever. My sights are set long term. How can she possibly compete with my pixelated perfection? She thinks she’s rebelling and the men think they’re in charge. Hah. They’re both clueless to the one who really runs the show. The influence of how I turn my dots on or off is far more than they’ll ever become. Who needs a real human connection when you can sit and watch me do the Laundry.
