"The Cat Who Guards The Lotus Jar" (守莲待鱼)
"The Cat Who Guards The Lotus Jar" by island6 Art Collective (Liu Dao)
// BLURB //
I'll just stare at him for a little while. I've gone through my recovery steps, I'm strong enough to just look. I admitted I was powerless over fishing, that my life had become unmanageable. I said sorry to Gerald (my owner) for eating his fish. I made a list of all the fish I had harmed and was willing to make amends for all of them (except I ate so much I couldn't apologize), I made amends to all the fish whenever possible (again, wasn't really possible because I ate them all). I am learning to control my urges and when I'm wrong, I promptly admit it. Though vegetarianism (with the exception of canned food) and meditation I have sought to control my actions and keep my promise to Gerald.
