There are countless professions where you meet a multitude of people, but their faces blend together. Not because of carelessness, but in certain environments faces are simply unimportant. Your hairdresser might not be able to recognize you out of those one thousand people but would certainly be able tell who you are by the softness of your hair (just try to shave it off). A taxi driver meets even more and even stranger people, yet the only impressions he gets from them is from their voices. That deep voiced girl, that guy with the crazy accent… Once he’s had enough, he just turns the radio on and the passenger stops existing. Life seems so much easier with this self-imposed blindness of visual clarity. No demanding faces, no disturbing noises, only vibrant colors on the road ahead, as if the driver fell asleep for a moment and found himself in the bottom of his subconscious. Why, didn’t you ever try to look into your eyeballs in the mirror?
