There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly -Buckminster Fuller
If there’s one thing Buckminster Fuller taught us is to remember the caterpillar’s potential. He spent most of his life researching how one person with limited power and influence could make a significant difference to the world. Humans can’t really predict much given our limited perspective, but there is potential to transform into something beyond what we can currently imagine. System’s theory is the study of independent and interconnected things that work together as a whole, and it’s used to explain complex concepts like Chaos Theory. This theory states that small changes will produce larger changes over time. Like how a single individual has the power to transform the economic system with a simple idea or action. The Equilibrium Theory explains the behavior of competing forces finding that perfect balance, it’s somewhat similar to applying the traditional practices of feng shui (风水) to your life. The whole purpose of these practices is to use energy forces to find harmony between people and their surrounding environment. Shi Shi (石狮) or imperial guarding lions are classic Chinese feng shui protection symbols. The perfect placement has the potential to bring harmony into your home, and who would want to miss that?
