"Sugar-coated Bullets" (糖衣子弹)

// BLURB //
Ah, the age-old question of extraterrestrial life. It's a curious thought indeed. Imagine that out there, somewhere in the great beyond, there may be beings unlike any we have ever known. A thrilling and unsettling possibility, much like a great mystery. The cosmos stretches out before us like some endless highway, and we're just a tiny speck of dust floating in its wake. Of course, as with any great enigma, there are those who claim to have experienced firsthand encounters with space invaders. But the truth of such claims remains elusive, and we must be cautious not to fall prey to the sugar-coated truths that often accompany such tales. Perhaps it's the childlike wonder in us that yearns to believe in the possibility of alien life or the innate desire to push the boundaries of what we know and uncover new truths.
Maybe there's life out there, buzzing around in their own spaceships, playing in the skies, living their own lives. Or maybe it's just us Earthlings, wandering this crazy universe with nothing but our wits and our curiosity. Sensibly searching for meaning in Shanghai skyline paintings. It's a mind-bending thought I can't help but ponder as I cruise down this endless highway, searching for my own place in the universe, searching for answers. Perhaps, much like the principle of Occam’s razor suggests, we should avoid complexity in favor of simplicity when attempting to unravel the mysteries of the universe.
